    Asetek Waterchill

I'm just about to start my testing on Asetek's latest WaterChill kit, so here's a couple of waterblock nudes, before I hook it all up. The CPU block supports Socket A, Socket 478 and also the new Socket754/940 mounting hardware, so you can cool your Opteron, FX or regular Athlon 64 with it too.

Second pic is just a clickable link since filesize is big. Enjoy. Look out for the review soon, strapped to DFI's new NFII Ultra 'B' LanParty extravanza (review and pics of that soon too!).

    Tube softening

There's a trick to softening watercooling tubes:
    Heat

If you put them in a pot and put that pot on the stove for a while, the tubes will warm up and soften.

If you're worried about water residue, you can close the ends or leave them out of the water, then dry the outside before installation.

Stiff tubing is a well-known issue in watercooling, this trick is well-known in engine assembly. Unfortunately, not all computer geeks work in a garage.

    Good luck!
