    The motion detecting sounds good but i can forsee that after heavy use it might not function properly.
    Im probably wrong though, I hope Nintendo make this a good console, and make it last longer than the Gamecube which is sadly practically dead now.

    As far as I know, other thant he buttons, there are no moving parts in the Wii remote.

    ie, motion detection is all solid state.

    I ahve a picture of the receiver that you stick on top of your telly. So it's all infa red of something similar... meaning there shouldn't be any deteriation through bits wearing out.

    oh god, from my experience of solid state motion detection on the PC, that very rarely works very well.

    although, if it is solid state, it would mean that nintendo would have learned from the horendous rate at which n64 controllers failed....

    and from what i have heard, the wii demo was faked, unless it really needs to be connected to that much stuff.....

    Well I want one, I have always brought Nintendo and the idea of motion controller is fantastic
