Forza 2 release date in question.

Despite MS's breifings to UK retailers that it will be out on the 8th of December this year the release date may be in doubt after a combination of top MS execs now refusing to say that it will be out befor xmass this year. The slip in the PS3's EU shipping date could lead to the pre-christmass date being considered of lower importance without GT-HD to go head to head with.

Che, one of the games developers was quoted as saying:

The game is no longer Holiday 2006 — but we won’t announce a new date until X06.
Gotta do what you gotta do to get things right, y’know?

I'd liked to have had it sooner, but I've waited a long time for this game, a little longer won't kill me.

A quick look through my pre order list shows that Forza2 is the only game I have pre ordered still showing a 2006 date. Could be a quiet xmass for the little white box.

It'll still have to go head to head in NA and Japan. Unless MS are going to start spliting US/UK release dates for games further...
