ok, so.. queuing outside a shop to buy a piece of hardware that'll be available freely in a month or 2.. fairly sad. making a giant controller for a yet-to-be-released console, turning it into a costume and taking time out to go and annoy said people, getting nothing for your time and money? fark.

The whole PS3 and Wii launch, infact everything to do with the new consoles is just leaving me baffeld. No-one is looking forward to playing the new consoles than me, but why are people so ****?

Why dress up like a nob and annoy people you don't know, standng in a line to buy a console you haven't played?

Why behave like Elvis is playing in the store, when all you are really doing is standing in a queue to buy a console thats months and months late, vastly overpriced, and has a very shakey launch line-up? What are they going to do, walk home (after selling their car to afford it in the first place) and play Genji: Days of the Blade for a week straight? Oooh, nice. I demand that anyone standing in a queue, in the cold, in the rain, for hours and hours to pay through the nose for one wears a sticker on their forehead with 'I haven't thought it through' written on it.

Why did Nintendo fans act like the Gamespot reviewer who gave Zelda an 8.8 was actually a convicted serial killer? So the man didn't think it was brilliant, big deal. It was all over various message boards, the bloke who owns GameFAQs had to put a sticky thread at the top of the Zelda board calling for an end to the personal insults and attacks.

Why can't Al Capacino finish a single post without saying fanboy, and actually make a point instead?

Why do people argue until they are blue in the face about if the 360 or PS3 is more powerful, when unless its a massive gap, it makes less than no difference and its how the games play that will make the difference, not one version having 0.3 of a pixels more detail. Shush about it.

Why does the whole world seem to turn into a bunch of pricks as soon as a discussion about which console \ games to get?

It all has to stop. Please lets get all these consoles out, and in boxes on Woolworths shelves, then the silly season will be over and we can actually start *playing the games*.
