    HEXUS.tv :: Bioshock new trailer

    2K claim that BioShock will forever change our expectations for first-person shooters.

    BioShock takes place among the ruins of an underwater utopia. After your plane crashes into icy, uncharted waters, you discover a rusted bathysphere and descend into Rapture, a city hidden beneath the sea.

    Bioshock is due for release in 2007 on Xbox 360 and Windows.

    Check out this new trailer

    It won 17 awards at E3, including many that hailed it as the best of the show. Having not seen it it action, I'm not sure what will make it so revolutionary.

    Even in the publisher's blurb there is not really any mention of the gameplay.

    Damn straight. I also have great memories of timesplitters as it was mine and my first girlfriends cover story when we were shagging in her house

    Soon as we heard her parents coming home, pants on, unpause timesplitters. The perfect crime.

    Yeah, Every new game seems to come out claiming this, then as soon as you play it they all tend to be a 'brand new' generic Counter-Strike rip off, this happens with all genres of Games, but i've found it to be more seen with First Person Shooters or FPSs. Lol.

    I havent heard too much about this really, but the trailer makes it appear like a decent looking FPS, in what looks to be a good setting - Not sure what new gameplay mechanic is going to "Change our expectations" but I dont really mind, been waiting for a decent FPS since Prey really... Bring it on, so that I can try and convince myself to get a new GPU
