So you are looking at about £125 - £130.
But when you take into account that teh S1 is rather huge and also by doing this change means you void the warranty on the card.
I dunno, but seems liek not such a good proposition.
If an equivalent or near enough card was available for like £5 or £10 more I would def buy that instead.
You void the warrenty? i was under the impression aftermarket coolers didnt void the warrenty if fitted carefully

I expect they would void it - default AMD retail CPU warranty is voided if you don't use the retail cooler.

Thats ridiculous, how on earth would they know? and other than the obvious 'incase it isnt up to the job' what reasons do they have?

Well the reason is exactly that - there are many ways of damaging a CPU by not using a retail HSF - it might not be up to the job, it might not be as easy to install correctly, the installation might damage the CPU and so on.

As for enforceability then that's another question - I'm sure they could analyse any traces of thermal grease or cleaning agents if they really wanted, but more likely they'll just rely on the honesty of the customer, as many contracts do.
