They just are hot cpus (it's probably the main factor holding back even higher overclocks than the 40-50% overclocks people are achieving so easily), you will not get lower temps of a significant margin no matter what hsf you use at that level of overclock.

It is a negative, but not one Scan can help without raising the cost by installing even more elaborate cooling, even though the gains may be minimal.

Scan has sensibly chosen to include a 7-in-1 card reader - and it's a combo unit that includes a 3.5in 1.44MB floppy disk drive. This could be particularly useful in combination with the on-board Express Gate photo feature to quickly show digital photos from your camera to friends and family.

Did you try it with a photo card? The one I've got which sounds similar to this can't read SD cards above 2gb, making it pretty useless for cameras.

Corsair HX620 will power just about anything. It does come with 2x 6+2 PCI connectors which means that you will need additional cable(s) to run extra graphics cards for SLi/crossfire that require 2 power connectors.

You can get these additional connectors/cables from Corsair customer service. It's in their FAQs

920 overclocked to 3.7GHz on air - impressive......but stupid. 76C is way too high even on load, anything over 70C from a company like SCAN should be severely marked down - it's just been done so they can brag about the overclock (and it worked as it's in the title of the article). I remember their Great White Shark thing in Custom a while ago that was hitting 92C on load apparently - yeah it may be stable but so is a formula 1 engine until you get stuck at the lights for too long and then it overheats. I wonder if they carried out the "24 - 48 hour stress test" and said "76C, oh that's fine"

Looks pretty tidy inside though and the warranty certainally can't be sniffed at.

Just a thought - it would be nice to see a comparison on value with other companies too - as already mentioned it seems expensive and if you look around you can actually get the same spec (inc OC) in a better looking case for less money elsewhere.

Most other places that sell prebuilt systems usually get decent cpu/graphics and ignore the rest, so yes cheaper but certainly not better.
70+ is hot and is expected with such a big overclock, should of been a lower overclock or opted for the more expensive cooler.
But yeah 3 gb of ram in a system like that? Madness
