Single card performance is brilliant for a 22" monitor and if you want more at a later date then the crossfire option is also brilliant. It out performs the 4890 by 20% on average.

Interestingly the crossfire review confirms my suspicion that the idle power draw was high due to the card not clocking down properly - the RAM doesn't drop its clock speed @ idle! here's hoping ATI find a way to fix that sooner rather than later...
I think AMD has missed an opportunity here to make a big impact. The performance is almost as good as a 4850 and the pricing is slightly better but the overall value proposition is nothing special. I guess the price has been manipulated to ensure it does not take too many sales away from the 4850.
