    Tagan TG480-U01

Support for upcoming ATX, ATX12V and BTX standards means you'll be able to use it in a wide range of systems for quite some time, the sensible fan placement seems to be the key to its compliance.

Recommended if you're in the market for a new PSU, I can see Tagan becoming an enthusiasts choice in 2004. High quality is their aim, I think it hits the mark.

Definitely an improvement on the CWT 450W that was in that PC already.

Yup - I've had one of those a few months ago, looks such a nice PSU in a black case ... NEVER RUN IT WITHOUT THE EARTH STRAP THO. I obviously powered it up and ignored the instructions, if you dont attach it to the case ... I put the case side on, a huge spark and all was quiet, lol

    They need braiding though

I ordered one of these yesterday to complement the two WD Raptor 74 GB dives I ordered with it. As my mobo only supprts two SATA drives I only need two SATA power connectors so in my book the review should have been 10/10!

    Great review,

    Thanks

Got mine up and running for a few days now, no problems soo far. Comes with a nice instruction manual (although the translation leaves alot to be desired) and UK power lead which was nice to see. Some multi coloured velcro cable ties topped off the package.

This PSU has got to be one of the best on the market. Not only is the build quality second to none, but it features and performance come at half the price of equivilant psu's.

Powers my two raptors like a dream... (ATI 9800 Pro coming on Monday!!! £127 from www.overclockers.co.uk, SWEEEEET!!)

I have just bought one and installed it in my rig in the hopes that it may bring stability. I was very impressed with it so far, presentation, connectors etc. It has got 4 SATA plugs now by the way...
I will report later on wether it has stabilised my crashing system..
    It is also astonishingly quiet

I think they have a new revision out now which is slightly different than the one I bought nearly a year ago (mine only has two SATA connectors). A year on and I am still loving this PSU.

I now have it running my Asus NCCH-DL with 2 x 2.4GHz Xeons @ 3.2GHz (16x200). Due to this power supply being EPS12V, I did not have to upgrade it when I upgraded to a dually which saved me loads of cash. I also have 2 x 74GB Raptors in Raid 0 and 2 x Seagate 200Gb drives in Raid 1. This PSU is not even batting an eyelid.

I can't wait to see where Tagan will go in the future.
