Reviews - Cooler Master HAF 922 PC chassis. More than just a little brother?

Cut down from the HAF 932 but adding some new features of its own, we examine if the HAF 922 chassis is worth £90.

Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?

This is a fantastic bit of kit.

I bought one two weeks ago to replace my ageing P180 and this HAF922, although £20-plus cheaper, is far, far better.

Very impressed and apart from the known lack of a 200mm fan for the side-panel, I've not a single complaint.

It is much more spacious and very much more quiet (with 3 case fans in my P180 and 5 in the HAF922) and cooler.

    Good stuff!

I'd like to add that the reason it's quieter is because I can run the HD4870 (stock cooler for now) at a lower fan speed, which is inevitably more quiet than the 45 - 50% I've had to have it at in the P180, what with the warmer weather and all.

In the HAF922 I have it at 35% speed via the CCC and get around 40°C at idle and up to 62° under strain (Clear Sky battle - DX10). I'll be fitting the Accelero soon.

CPU temps are mid 30's C at idle and high 50's under load, with an AC Freezer7 Pro with no fan.

Re: Reviews - Cooler Master HAF 922 PC chassis. More than just a little brother?

I had the P180 & it was great then I looked at buying this case but lack of dust covers meant the components would be covered & lots of cleaning. So stupid me went for SST-TJ10 instead

Nice review, will look forward to the reviews for the Raven 2 (RV02) & Fortress 2 FT02 "too" !
