Awesome work getting a review out so quickly.
Got to agree with others here though, don't really see the point of it, they've just released another cpu at around the same price/performance as another of their own? Ah well, silly intel.

still a waste, what motherboard do you want this week then p67 z68 an x79 or is it the x77, my god as soon as its on the market its dead. the x79 and 39xx ect is a waste of time, most wont bother and how meny of you have a x79 and 3930 with 16gb of memory or more, or will have. Dreamers.

MORE LIKE £480 I THINK and for what have you got two gtx580 or two 6990 that still wont need pcie3 or what ever.

I nabbed it on ebay on christmas eve, obviously a slow day as the same seller sold another one a week later for £430

and yes I have 2 GTX 580 3GB with a view to getting 3 or 4 when prices drop when kepler comes out
I'm currently only running 1080p but I want to go 5760x1080 when I have a bit more space
as it is I got one 580 for £350 and the other for £330

I've got kepler+ level performance now for probably not much more than kepler will be when it comes out

the only option for decent SLI support currently available is X79, on top of that a 6-core @ 4.5ghz will outlast a quad and with pcie-3.0 support I'll be lined up to get whatever kepler's successor is

for people with a 2500k already there is no point updgrading to X79, but for me going from a Q6600 which was just just starting to bottleneck a single 580, it was a great choice and obviously that fact that I got lucky on ebay for all of my items is a nice bonus

I wouldn't bother, it seems too watered down to me, I'd rather just get 3930, after all if I'm jumping ship from the other boat I might as well make a big jump...
