Would it be possible to run benchmarks at 1280x960 or 1280x1024 for future reviews?

The reason: The high proliferation of guys buying 17"TFT's.

If not, no worries, I was just thinking howmany people will have a 17" TFT within the next 6-9 months.....

It would be good to see more benchmarks run at 1280X1024, I don't have a TFT but I use this res on my 19" CRT and play most games in it.

Agree here as well folks

I have a quite large monitor but find that 1280x1024 is the best resolution for this display when gaming.

I wondered when reading a 6800gt why this wasn't done very good suggestion imo.

More and more 17" TFT less and less 17/19" crt means that 1280x1024 will be more common resolution thant 1024x768.

Last time I ran 1280x1024, I got a verbal beating. I agree it's an interesting resolution to run, for the reasons you outline, but the time aspect and its previous unpopularity conspires against it.

I'll think about it though, I'd like to see it make a return too.

You've just gotta look at the amount of 'what 17" TFT should I get' threads to see that 1280x1024 is going to be a very common resolution for future gaming...

if some people cant see that then thats a shame.

I've only ever run at 1024x768 and my brother runs his at the same on his 17" lcd.

Most 17" tfts have a native res of 1280*1024 now and it's the res i use in games and on the desktop.
