This thing is a beast. Gave me about a week of glory with the 7970 only for it to be out done. Oh well the price difference is more colossal than the performance difference so i'm not bothered.

    GPU - AMD: Radeon HD 7970 - Windforce X3 1Ghz/OC Edition (Gigabyte)
    CPU - Intel i7 2700k Stock 3.5Ghz OC 4.0Ghz
    RAM - 8GB GDDR3 1333MHz Unbuffered
    HDD - 1TB SATA II 7200

£830 for one, roughly £2500 for a trio? Then you need a truck-load of gold to pay for the rig to hold them and feed them the electrons they crave...

The one good thing about the extortionate price paid for these is that the older cards will seem that much cheaper.

Others mentioned a typo in the "test setup". That same typo is reflected in the chart on the first page comparing various high end geforce and radeon setups. All the tahiti based cards listed have a 384 bit memory interface per gpu, not the 256 bit interface listed.

Even better for amateur 3d modellers who want an affordable render option. Well, relatively affordable.
