Typo in the bottom line :

Nvidia's partners are going to have to do a sterling job in convincing users to speed £200-plus on the GTX 760.

Re: Reviews - Nvidia GeForce GTX 760

I think this card fits very nicely into the current pricing for Nvidia, although the cynic in me can see that it has been very carefully engineered to do so.

Re: Reviews - Nvidia GeForce GTX 760

Well a lot depends on pricing, but at $50 less than 660 Ti it sounds pretty good.

Fewer cores, but higher clocks and more bandwidth.
Higher TDP too which is interesting.

This is a Boost v2 part, your table is wrong.

Overclocked it pretty much matches a stock 7970 GHz, that's pretty impressive.

I wonder how this would perform with the new Beta drivers "320.49" ?

I'm not sure what I was expecting, I'm kind of disappointed but I'm not even sure why lol.

Did you already buy a GPU?
One of these might be disappointing, but I bet two wouldn't be!

Nah GPU is still on my too buy listing (eta about a month). I'm keeping an eye on the Sli testing when they come out to see if its worth going for 2x 760. The only thing that keeps pushing me to 780 or the new 4GB 770 is that I'll be running at 2560x1440 and the VRAM might be an issue.

    tarinder!

can I be cheeky = could you stick a gtx 460 (or gtx 480) in there and maybe a 5870? just to show the generational `upgrade` potential .

Re: Reviews - Nvidia GeForce GTX 760

Why does this thing even exist? Looking at the actual frame rates it's getting, it looks exactly like a 660ti. The only minor changes I see are the slightly reduced power consumption at load and being slightly less expensive. Not saying that's a bad thing, but it's more like a 660tiV2 than a 760.

    HalloweenJack,

HD 5870 is already in there, to show, as you say, generational differences.

I'll add a GTX 460 the next time I'm in the office.

Re: Reviews - Nvidia GeForce GTX 760

Anyone else think the Nvidia 7 series seem a little underwhelming? I thought the GTX760 was the GTX670 replacement.

    GTX660> GTX760
    GTX670> GTX770
    GTX680> GTX780
    GTX690> GTXTitan?

Congratz nvidia for giving us HD7950 performance at decent~ prices, but its a year too late and AMD give 4-5 free games for the same price.
