Have Func been paying people to review this or are they just spamming them out to every reviewer in existence. It seems like everyone and their mother has reviewed this keyboard.

Given that the keyboard is almost certainly another iOne board, by the look of it, that quote is also a bare-faced lie.

I'm not knocking the board - it'll be great - I just hate the BS marketing too.

Nice price and I like the fact that they've included a wrist support (shame about the weak clips). Too late for me though, I'd just ordered a Coolermaster QuickFire Ultimate keyboard in a cherry brown flavour. Can't find any reviews for that though. Any chance?

If they can provide one with MX Browns and white backlighting, then I'll finally have an alternative to the Logitech G710+.

Looks very similar to my QPAD-MK85

If you're not at all bothered by media key functions then it looks like a decent intro to mechanical keyboards at a very attractive price.

Translation of the original quote from 'Marketing' to plain English - 'Most of the people on the R&D team have Angry Birds on their phone. We think there may be some Fruit Ninjas in there too'

    Re: Reviews - Func KB-460

Seems very well priced for a entry level mechanical keyboard. I've been umming and ahhing about a Corsair K70 for ages (Is it me or was the Hexus review quite late?) but this is about half the price... If I dont get the K70 this Chirstmas (Its one of the things on my wish list) then I might give this one a try. Any thoughts about the noise in relation to other Cherry Red boards?

    Re: Reviews - Func KB-460

It's the price that is intriguing for me! This is the mechanical keyboard to try and tempt us regular gamers over to the dark side. As much as I'd love to have sprung for a mechanical keyboard a while ago, the thought of forking out £100+ and ditching my perfectly good normal keyboard (Razer Arctosa, if anyone's keeping score)... well, it just wasn't going to happen. At this price, it just might - doubly so if I decide to change out my Deathadder for the MS-3 (seriously, Razer, I love your braided cables, until the kinks in them become permanent features - sort it out!)

I just dropped the hammer on a Corsair K95, which will be here tomorrow. I had a K60 that recently drowned. The K series are amazing, no other choice for me now.

    Re: Reviews - Func KB-460

The upper half of the plastic chassis is coated in a soft, black, almost rubber-like coating that looks elegant and feels luxurious to the touch. The surface seems surprisingly resistant to scuffs or scratches, although fingerprints are a problem.
Aaaand right there is the reason why this thing instantly turned into a no-go.
Rubberized coatings are evil. Period. If you've ever had a rubberized coating break down into a sticky icky gooey mess, you'll NEVER EVER want that crap again. On anything. Especially Keyboards and mice.

...aaaaaand right there is where you're wrong. There are a number of iOne-made boards which have the same coating.

It is a "soft touch" coating, but not the type that easily wears away and peels. It is far more robust than that - the wrist rest on my board isn't showing any signs of polishing or wear after a little over a year of pretty heavy use.
