Would hope that going with a single rather than dual GPU would allow improvements to the cooling.
>£1K + TN = No buy for me.
There's no reason to have a TN screen on a laptop that expensive. It seems like cost cutting to me. Plenty of VA panels available now with 120Hz screens, and the response time is more than adequate, especially since not many people are going to be really heavily gaming on a laptop

Well at least they've properly matched the screen resolution to the class of GPU.
Normally it's too much @4K, or too small @1080p.
Think carefully. Do you 'really' need a gaming laptop? I recently sold an Omen 17 (7700hq & 1070) which was fantastic, more than enough for 1080p gaming, but what a cost. It never actually moved from behind the TV.
I sold it, built a small pc with a 1060 card, which means that I could STILL carry it to a friends house, or work, to have a gaming session. Heck it cost a lot less so you could just buy a damn second screen and leave it at your destination if safe to do so.
Think about it! The value of these things drops dramatically once the next version hits.
I wish Hexus would review the new MSI laptops with the GTX 1080 inside
excalibur, some people prefer a laptop because the screen doesn't strain your neck as much
with a laptop, your neck is tilted downwards because the screen is close to you and leaning back at an angle, while with a desktop monitor, the screen is much further away and higher in height, so your neck is more straight and under strain
are there any high quality gsync desktop screens that you can sit close to the table and angle backwards like a laptop screen?
just a 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD is a bit disappointing.
