... It's difficult to say how much more efficient B450 is against the last generation. ...
Well, it is when you don't test it against a B350 motherboard

I'm not normally one to comment on the choice of comparison systems in Hexus reviews, but when the introduction makes a point of highlighting that AMD have worked on the chipset power efficiency, it seems criminal to then NOT test against a B350 mobo - even if it's ONLY for the power draw tests....

It seems the MSI B450 Tomahawk is one of the best B450 boards, has good cooling and you can upgrade the BIOS without a CPU. It seems the MSI B450 boards can have BIOS updates without a CPU.

I used the MSI B350 Tomahawk before and it was a good board too.

    Edit!!

Having said that - I do wish reviewers tested the Ryzen 5 2600 too and see how it fared,as even though YT channels have made criticisms of a number of B450 boards, the fact is many people buying ~£100 boards will be probably buying a Ryzen 5,not a £250+ Ryzen 7 2700X though.

    Second Edit!!

The ASRock Gaming K4 also looks solid too.

The Gigabyte seems to have some problems and is the least stable one!

Nope, the power delivery isn't designed for it.
