    Intel's Pentium-M 735 Processor and DFI 855GME Motherboard

Performance wise, there's one thing that stands out from the analysis and observation of P-M's scaling with nothing more than its base frequency: it's crying out for core logic to let it breathe and perform to its fullest; there's definitely plenty of extra performance to be had by pairing P-M with Alviso core logic. There's also extra performance to be had just by upping the CPU's bus clock, so the upcoming 200MHz Pentium-Ms, using Alviso, should give very fine performance, comparatively.

is it just me or does the author not know the correct clock speeds for Athlon 64's. 4000+ is 2.4Ghz and 1mb L2. The FX-55 is 2.6Ghz and 1mb L2. Why did he underclock the Athlon 64's? 2.4Ghz is the Athlon FX 53, not the 55. So which was the mistake? Did he really use a FX 53 or did he underclock the FX55 and say that was default?

Typos/brainfart. Will fix Clocks should obviously be 2600 and 2400, and the multi is 12 for a 4000+/-53.

Can I ask why the "find lowest price processors" link goes to an American web site quoting only American sources. I realise Hexus wants to be international in flavour but I thought the majority of your readers and forum members were British? Having read the article and been interested, its a bit of a bummer to click on the link and find it to be useless.

Yes, as we have stated before - this is where your wrong a larger %age of the front page readers are from the USA

We will have something new in place soon which will work out your country and switch - but this has been like this now for about 12 months.
