Surely the RGBification of everything has jumped the shark with this ridiculousness.

Honestly I'm shocked it's taken so long, considering the seat design is basically taken from the tuner car scene where neons were/are pretty big things....

Got to love the 'embroidered with 'antibacterial' silver thread'.

So only the embroidered bit is antibacterial and it will only have an effect when wet as silver is only antibacterial when wet. I'd hope you'd not sweat that much while gaming! What a load of marketing BS - I'd rather have a comfy chair thanks.

The target "Millenial Gamer" is clearly a smelly, sweaty, cottage cheese factory that seeks the thrills of LED-encrusted casters!

    "faux-leather fabric"

Is there ever going to be a gaming chair that uses proper leather?

The ikea markus is half the price, uses proper leather, and has a *10* year warranty. Its absurd how poor value these gaming chairs are in comparison. I mean, some of the price tags just because its got a gaming logo on make it verge into herman miller territory.....

Seems to be a market for it though, I guess.

Yes, Nobelchairs. But they break the bank for no reason.

I'd expect it to have an automatic gratification device with quick change fluid catcher at that price.

Re: Vertagear PL4500 RGB Gaming Chair

I'd normally complain about how the glorious gift of RGB is once again being misused and abused by the moronic children in the marketing office... but in a world where people get to spend millions of dollars remaking films and TV shows that really don't need to even be revisited - What's the point?

Nope, not at all - As this Gamer chair demonstrates, they haven't even showed signs of stoping the Gamer-fying of things yet, so RGBifurcation (the correct term, because putting RGB on anything always splits people into two camps) has barely gotten started.
"By gamerz, for gamerz, now with RGB"!!

It's a Gamerz chair. I'm never gonna buy it.
It asks $600 for a few extra lights and some overpriced (and unprotected) 18650 batteries, even though there's absolutely NO WAY it costs anything like that.
TBH, I think the original Rug-Buh-Guh Chair was probably better anyway, and I'm really hoping Linus and LTT/LMG sue the pants off Vertagear:

Lard this chair up with all the options and you are up to proper quality chair money. This or a Herman Miller? Sorry Vertagear...

Re: Vertagear PL4500 RGB Gaming Chair

I just picked up a refurbished Aeron for < £300. Which replaces my 15 year old £70 Argos special (faux leather, tilt adjust etc).

I think you'll find the Markus hasn't any natural leather about it at all. Cheaper chairs in Argos.

Re: Vertagear PL4500 RGB Gaming Chair

I have a vertigear chair I bought about 2 years ago. The seat is definitely a bit too firm, and I've had to take the lumbar support cushion off as, ironically, it was giving me a bad back. Also the seat has started splitting so I think I'm going to have to get it recovered.

Re: Vertagear PL4500 RGB Gaming Chair

    Thank you for this review.
I find that a little research at the local starving office supply stores (and a little patience) offer "all day chairs" that are comfortable and reasonably priced.
