Re: Corsair Dark Core RGB Pro

That is one ugly lil bugger.

I got a wireless something or other Corsair, pretty much same as this - RGB, billions of buttons, and best of all doesn't look like it has genital warts. Cost me 50 quid. Why anyone would pay so much for this STD riddled thing is beyond me

As a person with large hands, I am always disappointed that there are not more wireless mice (lat alone any mouse) which are made for larger hands.
I will go over to friends places to fix their PC and most have these little tiny things which are a pain in the butt.

The Iron claw is supposed to be better for larger hands (personally not tried one, anyone with one or has compared both of these models please left me know what you think), but there is no Qi chargeable version of the Ironclaw and as for my country, last year's Ironclaw RGB is sold at the same price as the non Qi version of this ($130) - but I suppose you get more for the same price in that it has more buttons. :-)

I have a Qi charger on my desk for my phone and tablet (the tablet has an adapter fitted under the case) which is why I would prefer a Qi version (Logitech's proprietary wireless charging mat will cost way too much for my budget).

I have the wireless ironclaw. It's definitely a bigger mouse, but depends how big your hands are, I wouldn't say it's large, it's just..bigger than most. If you've got monster mitts it might still be too small. I've got normal sized hands and it's comfy, but I like the feel of a full mouse so maybe ? lol. This ain't much help is it ?

Price wise, I dunno where the hell you're getting those prices, or maybe I was just incredibly lucky, but I paid 50 quid for the ironclaw wireless RGB. Although I just looked it up and it's gone up to £67 quid. Still a very reasonable price considering the gear. I'd pay that for a wired one tbh, purely because it's the first mouse I've seen in ages that has the right amount of buttons (although the "sniper" button placement is absolutely useless as a sniper button, I don't use it so it's not a loss. But if that's a feature you use in your mice, this places it in an awful way)

EDIT: to add on, I just realised, you can always re-bind the sniper function to one of the more convenient buttons. Also something I feel worth mentioning, the weight on this mouse is PERFECT. I prefer a heavier mouse, because I'm at 4k and use an insanely high DPI, a light mouse moves the pointer far too much

Thanks for the reply and the bit of info - for some odd reason, no-one out here will let me go and handle their products to check them out. :-)
I do have large hands and squarish thumbs - makes phone texting more challenging trying not to write alphabet soup gobbledegook. :-)

I am stuck in Australia at the moment staying with some relatives (and due to what is going on there is no way to get to the UK at the moment) Unfortunately everything PC related here is expensive.
The price I quoted was the cheapest I could find.
Hope you are OK over there, the news we are getting about the UK is not as good as I could wish for - plus my sister and family is there.

I was gonna say if you're in Manchester you're free to come fondle mine but you're a wee bit further than that ha. I do reckon you'd be OK, it's a good size, and especially the side (button 4 and 5) are big chonkers, not like the little flippy things my Logitech has. They're proper sized buttons and have a good click to em. Plus the 2 buttons at the top of button 1 are a good distance away so your oversized digits won't need to bend too much to poke em, and again those are on the larger side. I was gonna take you a side by side pic against my logi but I can't find the bugger so this was the best I could do:

Of course it's bloody upside down..sigh. Anywho ya that should give you some perspective of it.

And ya Aussie pricing is diabolical, you'd be better off getting a family member to buy & ship.

I have size 10.5 in gloves, or XXXL in modern parlance...

At home I favour a Logitech G700S, and at work I use a Roccat Kova.
I've found the Roccat Kone to fit well, along with the Coolermaster Storm Inferno and the Logitech G900. The best fit ever was the Steelseries Warcraft mouse, which was very wide and probably quite janky to use, but felt awesome:https://www.theregister.co.uk/Print/...w_peripherals/

I've fondled the G700, I'd say this is a touch smaller. Although it was quite a few years ago.

EDIT: Also, those aren't hands, at that size they are definitely paws lol

There should be a setting or tab in the configuration software, which you'd need anyway to set up all the button functions, polling rates and so on.

Well, apparently you can't set them to off, only to full black...

I mean for a £100 mouse, it is ridiculous not having this simple option in the software.

icue software. Go to the mouse and click on the areas that have RGB, you can change the brightness or turn them off altogether
