Any freaking card will do! All these Reviews are pointless! we have a deluge of Reviews every day now, and the reviewers have so many cards they have run out of desk space! and they are fighting to get the reviews out quickly, but in 3 months' time when the cards become available, we will have forgotten everything they have said. Suppliers are installing 1000's of them in the £1200 PC's, and bots and scalpers have 1000's on eBay, and guess what! the public who keep the companies going all year long have none?
Another rather biased review. How many RT games are there, which RT engine are they using, the proprietary nVidia software, DRX or (soon) Vulcan. What difference does RT make right of the now, do you mind running in the low 60fps. RT has some very cool features, it is not just eye candy, but side by side at the moment you are hard pushed to see any real difference. AMD seem to have done what is called for from a much smaller company, make a card that works and matches the competition in normal user needs/requirements (I hope the drivers are more mature than the RX5000 series). nVidia have been caught out, I cannot wait to hear all the salty RTX3090 comments once RTX3080ti comes out. nVidia could have released better cards at a better price but they once again chose to profit off of customers not give their best, AMD have started the ball rolling, intel did nothing and look at them now, nVidia should worry, the AMD 7000 series could be that ZEN 2 moment for nVidia otherwise.
Nothing but good news for the consumer, AMD taking it to nVidia has already seen nVidia change their entire product line and drop the price. Now if AMD drop the 6900 to £750-£800 nVidia will be in serious problems.
AMD have done well with this card especially at 1440p. I would have loved to see it scale better at 4k but the performance is still impressive. AMD definitely needs to bring out software to compete with the likes of DLSS to really take the crown off Nvidia for the best overall card.
