True but i didn't know how else to describe the repercussions this situation is causing beyond just not being able to buy a GPU for MSRP.

You could probably write an entire essay on the ripple effects this is probably having/going to have both in the short and long term.

Funnily enough, I'm running Star Citizen well enough on High settings with only a 980Ti... That's utterly ancient by some peoples' measures.

I would also like to sneak in a recommendation for Cloudpunk and their new DLC/expansion, for similar reasons.

This is true. I have no interest in trying to play new games on my old GTX960 and I have less interest in spending hours finding a new card at a good price or paying double for one with no warranty. I was waiting for the new 30 series to buy a new card but I should have bought a 2070 or something instead when you could even buy those. Hindsight!

Re: Palit GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GamingPro

I'm quite disappointed in the GPU pricing from Nvidia. I know there different architecture and more powerful (but that's expected) but to charge twice the price is criminal...

MSI gaming GTX 1080ti - cost me £650 new from Ebuyer.
    RTX 3080it - £1300+

    Bad time's

Same boat, bad times indeed .. I’ve been buying a high end card every few years since my Gforce 256, which seems a veeery long time ago now.

    Most recent lineage reads:

    ATI 5970
    GTX 690
    GTX 980TI
    GTX 1080TI

    And there endeth the story........

Very bad times indeed. One can only hope that things level out before our current GPU’s decide to give up the ghost ......

Re: Palit GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GamingPro

I was very very lucky last hyear, not sure if it was an error by ebuyer but I got an ASUS 2070 super for £469 new and have a old AMD 5870 and a nVidia 1070 spare otherwise I cannot see me get a new GPU any time soon.

Only amazing about GFX cards today is that they are unobtainable... I hope by some margain... that we get a hard push out on GPU's, to flush out scalpers.... also as for Nvidia...

NVIDIAS motto should be changed from: For the Gamer to For the Miner.

Re: Palit GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GamingPro

Just to buck the trend here... so this Palit card... considering the card is "custom cooled" and has 3 fans compared to the FE's 2 fans, the cooling performance and acoustics are disappointing.
