    Shuttle SB65G2 SFF System

In summary, the Shuttle SB65G2 is an effortlessly competent barebones unit that'll appeal to many potential buyers on the basis of performance, portability, features, stability and overclocking potential. It's not perfect by any means, but you can do a whole lot worse than have the SB65G2 sit on your desk. Ironically enough, the SB65G2's main threat isn't from powerful, full-size PCs, it's from other SFF PCs and Shuttle's very own SB6xxx and SN85G4 cubes. If you're determined to go down the Intel route, the SB65G2 is a classy performer in most respects."

That is a thoroughly informative review of a great case. I've been waiting and waiting to purchase a shuttle and i think this is the one for me.

What i would like to see on shuttles though is two 5 1/4 drive bays instead of one and a 3 1/2 bay. If you need to add a floppy (not me) you could use a bay converter anyway.

    Great review, thank you.

Hehe. Having done the occasional review myself, I understand there's a certain lag time (and tunnel vision) that occurs once a review is underway.

That being said (I'm NOT trying to be a flaming forum troll / review hater), I read this:

Lastly, we'd appreciate Intel's ICH5R South Bridge. We also wonder why Shuttle hasn't decided to introduce a Canterwood-based XPC.
And thought you might be interested in these:

A Shuttle 20th Anniversary Edition SB61G2 also with ICH5=R southbridge and a bundled WiFi kit.

Hell, its an excuse to do another review or two, huh? And BTW, just for the record I rather enjoyed this excellent review. Most sites generaly compare a SFF box to one system--a dekstop version of its nearest competitor just to prove the SFF box can keep up. It was great seeing how this SB65G2 performed against decked out systems from all the major platforms of interest.

    Thanks

It was my fault for not going live soon enough - this has been in the database a few days. With Shuttle releasing products at a rapid speed it was hard to keep on top of

That review is around 3 weeks old. I only put it up last week because there's SFF overload in the database right now.

I'll amend my comments on an i875P box. You could easily be a mastermind contestant on Shuttle XPCs right now.
