Im buying one! I was waiting to save the cash to buy the Vadim Custom PC dream PC for 2006 BUT this one is twice the power for half the price.

Now time to read the Geforce 8800 review to see if it supports HDCP and if it works!

I'd put money on vadim coming out with a bonkers 8800 powered system in a few weeks,

...no no, i meant the amd quad core offering which i have no doubt will be suddenly thrust upon us, not 4x4...

The amd Quad core isn't nearly here. Your talking 2nd Half of 2007 from the most recent estimates I've heard.

Certainly will be interesting in 9 months time to see which company is ahead. Should be a great battle and good for the consumer.

No doubt the new amd's will be great but thats a long way away and their will be much better quad cores from intel by then too.

So amd's quad core isn't competeing against this quad core from intel so isn't really relevent. It's more about how this quad core will compete against 4 x 4. I'm certainly expecting intel to be ahead in the most important price performance ratio at least untill K8L 2h 2007 but I'd love to be wrong because that would mean there is an even better high end choice on the market than now.

Nice review and fantastic specifications, just unfortunate I only have a £1000 to spend.
