Don't suppose since your doing all that testing anyway you might look into the difference the top TIMs make? You'd only need to do it with one cooler (could be the stock AMD/Intel one) but it'd be really interesting to have that side by side with the different coolers.

This is a nigh-on impossible thing to review - people who do should have the results taken with a pinch of salt.
The problem is there are far too many varibles involved. Thickness of the TIM, Ambient temperature of the TIM, handware and the lab itself.
Our group review won't just focus on the thermal capabilites of the coolers, but more on the overall cost, ease of fitting, system compatability etc.
I am still working on the review, have been for months, but this takes a REALLY long time to do.

A few months? I'm a bit confused. Exactly what is this group review?
~Ibrahim~
I hope the group test includes:
freezer 7 pro
scythe ninja (with one/2 fans and passive)
tunic 120
zalman stuff
stock (obviously)
titan amanda
as I have 2 of the above (stock and the freezer 7 pro) and am interested in three of them lol and dont really trust group reviews that dont do all the same at once
and are they done on a QX6700? I think it would be the best cpu as it get REALLY hot on full load on all the cores so should hopefully give the best comparisons
I know Xtreme Systems doesn't have the best reputation, but one guy has this thing with two 104CFM fans and a 4GHz QX6700.

Personally I think XS has a better rep than some of the other forums, like the late DFI-Street
We are not using a Core2Duo, what's the point, they don't get thermally hot enough to really test a cooler - even the QX6700. Instead we are using VERY hot P4 Socket 775 dual core parts to put the coolers under the most extreme loads.
We have many, many, many coolers in the group review.
We are not doing a bench-tested review (claiming a review is equal to in-case performance even though the coolers were tested in the open air, on a piece of foam, on a desk. We are doing a full on in-a-chassis review as if it were and end user, each cooler takes hours to build into a system and test.
There are plenty in the review and as such it is taking us longer than we wanted but it shouldn't be too long now.

Will theThermalright Ultra 120 Extreme be featured?
Check out these numbers!
47C at 3.96GHz load!
Holy sh!t. 47C at 3.9GHz load????

now apparently available at vadim
Hey all,
Would this cooler be compatible with the striker extreme motherboard's passive cooling. The copper blocks make it tight for some coolers would this one fit?
Also I have corsair dominator ram and I am using the corsair ram cooler with the 3 fans. Would this ram cooler be too high to allow fit with this cooler? Or would it be better to just scrap the corsiar cooler if this gemini can cool the ram more?
Thanks in advance
@Richard
Confirmed that the Dominator cooler will NOT fit, sorry!

Any update to when you will be realising the results of your testing??
I need a new 775 cooler, my 9500 cant hack it anymore! so Im really cant wait for the results for this one.
