lol i have some uk jerky and have gone off it lately as it seems to be lacking in flavor alot. Just ordered some of that will have to test it out now lol ... thks for the heads up on it ..
I keep meaning to ask my parents to get some biltong from their South African friends, along with some Jerky from their American friends.
I think there is also some Angolan version of this as well which sounds interesting.
Bring's back many memories. I was first introduced to Susman's excellent Biltong at a vegetarian school I attended for seven years in '80-81 by a friend who's dad had emigrated from SA, worked as a journalist for many years and then wrote a hugely successful musical. Matthew's back in Jo'burg now and I've lost touch with him for the moment!
I've tried many US and UK beef jerky and Susman's Biltong is by far the best.
