    good food is simple

i mean really. boil some pasta, fry some chopped garlick & a small chopped onion, add some pork, chuck in one or two herbs (e.g. basil, oregany, thyme & sage), throw the lot together with a big spoon of some paste of some sort (e.g. pesto). all done!

i mean really, no excuse those on fish & chips

    agreeed.......

although...now olive oil is so cheap......use that for the frying.

and keep a tiny bit of the pasta water back (drain a fraction into a cup) and then when all's made, put a tiny bit back into the pasta dish to make it all nice and shiny...

too true - I like using chopped up gammon - just heated for a couple of minutes in the frying pan, with a bit of chilli and tomato - very simple and just heat it all up while the pasta is cooking. very tasty!

If you toss your cooked pasta in butter and black pepper it will look shiny and taste yummy!

    Lightbulb real easy

I sometimes have to work some pretty long hours so easy quick food is fairly important to me. This one is so quick and easy its unreal and great at the same time:-

Ingredients:- Spagetti, Pesto Sauce, Parmasan Cheese

    1. cook spagetti as required (as per people eating)

    2. ONce cooked drain spagetti thouroughly then return to the pan. Add the Pesto Sauce. Allow the pesto sauce to gently warm through.

    3. Serve with shavings of Parmasan over the top.

You can of course make your own pesto sauce but for speed the ones in a jar from the supermarket are very good.

All in all this should not take more than 15 mins to cook.

fry some mince, toss in some random spices, a tin of chopped tomatoes, some tomato paste

put some in a tortilla, wrap the tortilla, place it seam-side down on a paking tray. repeat until something runs out. pour some of the remaining filling on top, in the center, and top with cheese. cover in tinfoil & put in the oven for 25 minutes on a reasonable temperature (150 or so).

    voila.
