    11inch Cake (Daughters Birthday)

She is 5 and i've taken on the task of making this cake for her...she has no idea yet but im pretty worried as the first 1 failed....really badly! (wasnt enough mixture)

So onto the cake, the tin is a whooping 11inch one....no small cake as this thing has to feed all her friends that come over, so i've got the presure of getting this done by tomoz aswell as all the other parents counting on me to get it done by 3 tomoz eek!!!

So far the bottom half is cooking now...lets hope it doesnt fail! i will update with pictures when it is done!

And just to make it clear, it's going to be 2 halfs with iceing in the middle and on the top

i am fine with the sponge side of things as i do all the cooking at home, buttercream and jam in the middle with buttercream on top. i got a piping kit from tesco today to see if i can make a nice job like yours

    Re: 11inch Cake (Daughters Birthday)

Thanks guys It was TBH a mess to start with, the first half didn't rise and fell apart, the second time i had to make anouther mix and mix it into the bottom half (yes the bottom half has two mix's in!)

The top half was the only bit that went smoothly! even the icing had to be made twice XD and as for icing...well lets just say i used a nife to remove them blobs (im sorry i dont know what there called) a fair few times!

So yes it was a very eventfull night to get it done but i'm impressed and so was everyone else and the emily was overly impressed so i'm a happy chappy.

    E-numbers, E-numbers everywhere.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
