    Dumb questions alert.

    Ok,

I don't have a cooker anymore. I have to microwaves. One of them is a combi oven.

Can I cook sausage in the microwave?

What other foods can you microwave that will actually cook all the way through properly?

I know that Jacket Spuds can be done if you prick the skins.

I'm just fed up of pre-packed microwave meals.

As far as I know you cant cook sausages in the microwave - and if you can I dont think I would trust em. Sausages are dodgy if not cooked properly.

Does your Combi-Oven thing not have a grill in it? My old one used to. If so then you can do sausages and all sorts in there. Just use it the same way you would a normal oven/grill.
If you're not living on the edge, you take up too much room

My grill is a quartz one, but takes one hell of a lot longer to cook food.

What do recommend, combination of microwave and grill to speed up cooking?

spag bol - put everything in a casserole dish, put the lid on, and microwave for about 30mins (dontl; quote me on the time. My folks never do anything like that on the stove: Chilli, spag bol, sausage casseroles etc.

Also: poached fish....erm... savoury (suet ) pudding, oh and savoury mince erm..... Loads of stuff, so much so, that you can actually find recipie books dedicated to the art of microwave cooking

I think Walls do a microwave sausage or at least I do remember seeing a microwave sausage advert on the telly. It was something like some bloke racing round the garden trying to wear everything on his washing line and get back into the house before the microwave pinged.

Oh and potato waffles are great microwave-beer-food as they cook all the way through in under 2 minutes )

Ok I admit it I love pot noodles as well
