    Things i won't let myself have:

    stytagm's missuses' Potato cake. Belongs on a christmas tree, not on a plate. Perhaps useful to dip in paint and make patterns on wall.

    Sorry dude, but you were there. You know it was crap. The fact i remember a potato cake 2 years after i ate it shows you how spectacularly crap it was
    Do you think when Jesus comes back..... he ever wants to see another cross.......? *{God bless you Bill}

    Yeah I remember it, it wasn't good. She's got a thing about not cooking big simple stuff, like a pot of stew or something. It's either simple and healthy, or she follows a recipe and its complicated. In that particular incident raw grated potato wasn't it?

    She's actually a great cook, she's no longer a 'letter of the law' recipe follower, and since she'd been living with a vege for a year, whenever I'm visiting she's more than happy to stick loads of meat in everything Does a very good line in Thai atm, making all her own curry pastes etc.

    Oh yes, and an embarassing point, she can not only eat spicyer food than me, she can now drink more than me
    They told me I was gullible ... and I believed them.

    You must have an asbestos lined mouth then. An old friend of mine's Mum is Bangladeshi and I once went round and had dinner with them while they had some of her relatives visiting. After a few mouthfuls I was sat there with a red face and smoke coming out of my ears, and they all looked at me contemptuously and reckoned they'd served milder stuff than usual because I was there!.

    She knew a takeaway on her way home from work that didn't muck about catering to wimpy English tastes, and the sheek kebabs from there could cause serious distress too....

    Anyway, back OT, I've recently discovered that my wife won't eat black pudding. What's that all about?

    Missus cant stand peas, marmite or hot prawns (will eat cold though! WTF?). Although she would never stop me enjoying them I can't ever be bothered to cook two dinners, so only tend to eat them when I just cook for meself.
