Thumbs up Student, quick & cheap pasta meal

    Pasta, sweetcorn & cheese.

    Ingredients:
    Pasta (any type)
Small can of sweetcorn (any cheapo one will do)
    Cheese (any u fancy)
    Salt
    Oil
    Butter or marge

Step: 1) Bring pasta to the boil in pot of water with oil and salt added, this gives it some taste and stops the pasta sticking!

Step:2) When pasta is nearly cooked add sweetcorn.

Step:3) Grate some cheese - as much as you like and whatever type - remember to cut off any mold or hard areas.

Step:4) Once pasta and S/C is ready, drain off water with a sive or colander (one of those things with holes in you thought was for doing highlights in your hair) let it dry off for a few secs and then mix in a lump of butter or marge.

Step:5) Stick it on one of your house-mates plates (you ain't washed yours yet) sprinkle cheese on top and add herbs/pepper etc if you like (but not required)

And there you have it! It's great, cheap, quick and simple - ideal for students!
It kept me alive for years at uni and I still eat it now!

I can only say - bloody students.

Can normal poor people eat this, or only students?

LOL - anyone! I just thought it would be good for students as they require this type of easy meal, and yes, poor ppl may also find it handy! I know I do when I've ran out of meat and veg and payday is still a few days away!

Hey, feel free to add what u want!
... but the bacon has nearly always been scoffed by this point...and a student would just make a bacon sarnie if they had some...

Yuck! That is well nasty. My mate used to make pasta, cheese and margarine until we beat it out of him. Buy a pot of pesto, please!

Pesto! WTF is that? Some junk in a jar no doubt! That's not the point anyway. Point is it's a cheapo meal for when u have no money and just some bits and bobs i.e. pasta, cheese (possibly someone elses ) and sweetcorn! The sweetcorn is required though at is a bit boring without!

Optional extra is half a tin of chopped tomatos, adding the SC (or tuna, or whatevr you fancy) to that as a sauce.

Bulks it out a little and then you get (gasp!) 3 flavours
