there's a great place in Brighton that we used to go to called ShakeAway - they do milkshakes (not really smoothies i know, but they are gorgeous nonetheless!). Basically vanilla ice cream and milk, and anything else you could possibly want. Curly-Wurlies work well, as do strawberries (well, most fruit really). Weetabix is an interesting one.
Agreed on the Milkshakes, we've been doing this since we were kids.
Very yummy and surprisingly filling, especially the bannana one. Occasionally you'll get a lot of froth on the top, especially with cheap ice-cream, but if you leave it in the fridge for a bit it'll settle down. There's nothing wrong with the froth, except you'll be burping for hours.
- 2-3 scoops Vanilla ice cream,
- 1-2 teaspoons sugar (needed I'm afraid, brings out the flavour of the fruit),
- Either a punnet of Stawberries or 2 bannanas - Mashed.
- Fill it up with milk and blend away.
They told me I was gullible ... and I believed them.
Milk chocolate digestives and milk.
Selection of Fruit (whatever takes your fancy)
Pot of yoghurt (muller light is always good)
Whizz up and stuff in glass.
Drink.
to sweeten, use apple juice
Pineapple goes really well too.

My all time fav is just a banana, half to a full a pint of mink and a teaspoon of honey. Mainly because we have almost always got the ingredients in the house and it so simple. I sometimes put bit of icecream in to.
i like making smoothies from frozen summer fruits that you can get in most supermarkets. Just mix it with apple or pineapple juice and blend. I just drink the seeds and all, but you can sieve them out. Frozen blueberries are good too. I think sainsbury's have the widest selection of frozen fruit i have found so far. Have got mangoes and pineapple and raspberries too. Sometimes i add a bit of cranberry or pomegranate juice too.
