    help picking a motherboard and ram please

    have a athlon phenom ii 940 black edition (am2+) need to buy a good motherboard and good ram
    I want something better than bog standard
    sort of future proof

    any advice i would be grateful

    The motherboards which LegacyOne suggested are good choices IMHO although I would suggest that the OP get PC2-8500 DDR2 RAM:
