Hey guys,
Is there any REAL WORLD (no synthetic benchmarks please!) difference on a Ivy Bridge Z77 build between 1333 and 1600Mhz RAM?
Hey guys,
Is there any REAL WORLD (no synthetic benchmarks please!) difference on a Ivy Bridge Z77 build between 1333 and 1600Mhz RAM?
How much faster?
I found some Corsair Dominator 1333 for £25 (for 8GB) I thought the difference was nearly unnoticeable, Should I just OC it?
Any Gaming difference?

A reputable technology news and review site did an article about memory scaling performance. Basically, 1600 MHz is the sweet spot for price and performance, going up past that to like 2133 MHz (or whatever it is) only increased FPS by ~1 in two games I think, Battlefield 3 and Metro 2033. I don't think you'd notice any difference going from 1333 MHz to 1600 MHz personally.
I can't say a lot from personal experience because I haven't experimented with ram much but from everything I've read I don't think you'll see any noticeable difference between 1333 and 1600 when it comes to gaming. I'm sure there will be a site with some decent benchmarks to prove it though. Try looking at Toms hardware...
cas 9 1333 is far too similar to cas 11 1600 , i know as thats the speeds i can run my own ram at
