Re: Need advice for my AMD fx 8150

I would have waited a bit longer as the AMD FX8350 is out next week with the improved Piledriver cores, although a Core i5 might have been a better choice. Regarding RAM any decent branded 1600MHZ DDR3 will be fine. Out of interest are HD7850 1GB cards much more expensive than the GTX650 in Indonesia?? In the UK,they tend to be not massively more expensive but offer better overall performance.

Anyway, the part I would be concerned about the most is the PSU.

It appears to be based on a very old design and has a very low rated 12V line:

It is actually a 340W to 360W PSU and I would return it.

Re: Need advice for my AMD fx 8150

Just realised you said GTX650 not GTX650TI. That is a tad on the slow side if you intend to play some of the more intensive games like BF3 or Crysis2! The HD7770 or GTX650TI is what I would consider the minimum TBH,although a GTX560,HD6870 1GB or GTX560TI are generally faster overall,so if you can get a good deal on one of those two they are not bad.

Ideally the cards you would want to have are the HD7850 1GB/HD7850 2GB/GTX660 2GB or HD7870 2GB with the latter three being the most preferable.

    Basically in terms of speed:

    HD7870/GTX660>GTX570>HD7850 2GB/HD7850 1GB>GTX560TI 448>HD6950 1GB/2GB>GTX560TI>HD6870/GTX560>GTX650TI>HD6850 1GB/GTX460 1GB>HD7770 1GB/GTX560SE 1GB
