    Best Ram Upgrade

Ok So I had 3x 2gb Triple channel Ram (1600) in my X58 + i7-950. One of the sticks recently died so Im in need of a replacement (that would also be a nice upgrade when the other stuffs come back) while I wait for RMA. Any suggestions

I have a Gigabyte X58A-UD3R-Rev2 [Board Max is 24GB] = Win 7 pro x64. So Any ideas? Also dont wanna spend too much (like 60quid or less would be good).

Applications I use a fair bit, Premier Pro/After Effects + Sometimes 3DSMax/Maya if that matters

    Regards

    The old corsair XMS3 1600 cas 9 1.65v stuff would be great - 3x4gb:

Newer 1.5v or lower stuff might work fine as well, but your generation of components (I have exactly the same) were built to work with the 1.65v ram for example linked above.

Thoughts on how well the older stuff works if I was to decide to upgrade - I dont plan to (i7-950 @4.8Ghz + 680gtx pretty much smokes everything anyway) but if i can find something i would be able to use in an upgrade it might be nice.

These days there's little point carrying RAM over for a new system - new systems will prefer the lower voltage RAM - 1.5v for sandy bridge and ivy bridge for example. New systems aren't triple channel either, so you'll probably end up either throwing a stick away or getting higher density RAM in the future.
