Is this memory only compatible with Sandybridge?

I'd have to go for a 3rd generation CPU? I want something compatible with Haswell. Plus is the CL10 and slow timings a problem or does the frequency negate that? Any help would be much appreciated....

    Wow, that is kinda cheap.

    CL10 isn't great for 1600mhz but it's awesome value.
Frequency does help offset CL especially for sequential reads.

But 16GB? Unless he WILL use that amount of memory, he would be better off with something faster, even if it is 8GB. Why to have a 5m ladder when most of your windows to clean are at the height of 3m

Those were the ones I bought. DDR3 prices have shot through the roof though. When I bought those, one 8GB stick was 35euro/30gbp.. so 2 sticks 70euro/60gbp, and that was already kinda on the high side.
Still.. the fact alone that they're low profile without unnecessary huge heatspreaders rocks. No problems with CPU coolers whatsoever The ones Agent posted have even better timings for not much more money though..

I'd stay away from DDR3-1600 CL10 and up/slower. And especially stay away from anything G.Skill

    Is this better?

Had these Crucial 1600Mhz-CL8-1.5V. Couldn't overclock no matter what on a A75 or Z77 (both AsRock). Just saying. And they are not that small, least compared to my Crucial Sport LP
