You mean secondary and tertiary timings? The ones the vast majority of manufacturers don't even deem important enough to list in data sheets? How exactly would you suggest someone goes about choosing ram based on those? Or indeed what makes you think they have any meaningful importance to performance?

Well, while we are waiting, here is a bit of explanation.

I mean secondary and tertiary timings! I already told you they're less important at the early stage of DDR3. Nowadays, DRAM freq can hit as high as 3GHz, secondary and tertiary timings start to play dominant role. It's unwise to ignore them, especially for z87. what exactly do you want to know about them? Please ask here, I will try my best to answer

manufacturers usually don;t specify secondary and tertiary timings, but you can and need to tune them manually. You should beaware the performance difference between manually tuned DRAM setting and all-AUTO DRAM setting.

if you can find even one decent set of tests that demonstrates a measurable difference in relation to secondary timings you can have all my internet points

what kind of improvement will satisfy you? 2-3 FPS in games, are you happy with this?

At work at the moment so can't visit the tube, but Linus Tech Tips did a video of benchmarks from 1333Mhz all the way up to 2800MHz FPS tests and If I remember correctly the difference was at most 1fps.

Somehow I think it depends on the game or application used as benchmark as well as the details, resolution or complexity at which the tests are performed.
