    Hi MC1,

I think we're not going to be able to get the Splinter Cell discs that we've been waiting on for some time.

I think the best action to take would be to see what there is that we can offer as a replacement and come back to you.

    Hi Davey,

    I upgraded to Office 2003 but I can't activate it. I assume
because of the previous bug Can you send me the update file
    to fix the problem ?

    Thanks

    Jim

    Hi Davey,

I have recently upgraded my trial version of Office to Office Pro 2003, and have the same problem - my activation wizard will not start. Please can you send me the patch? Unfortunately I ordered my PC some time ago but have only recently required Office for work etc - I hope it is possible to sort this problem out?

    Many Thanks.

    Hi KTP,

Firstly bumping works in the opposite way to what you think, it moves it further to the back of the queue so it's best avoided.

Could you check the order number you have in your profile as it seems it's either missing a digit, or has one extra if it's an SO_ style number?

If you could also supply me your email address, either via PM or by emailing me, it would be appreciated.

    Hi steveferg,

If you email me the request via davey@meshcomputers.com I can send it by return. You'll need to make sure the email address you email from or provide can receive attachments.

I'd like a copy of the office fix as I'm getting nowhere at Mesh. Can anyone tell me where the fix is and how to get it?

If you had read through this thread properly, then you would have come across this message with a possible fix:

What you need to do is uninstall Office then go through the registry and delete every instance of the search word "office" keep in mind that there are some things that have "office" in there so use some common sense and make sure you not deleting keys related to HP officejet and so on. Just remember to use some common sense before editing the registry and make a back up. Second you need to navigate to "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft" and delete the office folder. You may need to adjust folder settings so you can view hidden files. After that restart the machine seeing as you did remove registry keys you must restart or your attempts will be in vain. After that reinstall office and you should be able to activate. The reason you’re running into this problem is the same reason I did. I built some new computers all identical and didn't do an OEM install of office. After I did that I cloned the hard drive to the other computers I was building. After the 50 uses office went into reduced functionality and I was not able to get the office product activation to run, I searched and searched for a solution on-line was not able to find one and tried to fix it on my own and low and behold I got it working. Hope this works for you.
If this don't work, I'm afraid that you will need to wait till monday/tuesday before Davey can reply you as he has posted a message saying that will not be available between 5/7 till 9/7. Please be patient.
