    RAM 256MB DDR 266MHz

Currently my machine has 2 No 256MB DDR at 266MHz, with a spare slot.
Will it support 3 No. 512MB DDR at 333MHz?

It probably will, but it'll try and run it at 266 and not 333, owing to the fact that the ram slots all run from the same bus.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Do you think that I will notice much difference?

Thanks again, still undecided about buying more RAM. Maybe look at other measures to speed up slow PC. For some reason I cannot enter the BIOS.
I press F2 at boot up which normally works, but windows starts up.

Try pressing delete rapidly from the start.

    Re: RAM 256MB DDR 266MHz

You say your system is slow, how long since the last Windows (which I assume you're using) reinstall? Windows collects loads of cruft through use, unless you're an expert at keeping it clean. A reinstall starts you off with a clean slate, and often boot times are slashed in half.
