I am looking for a motherboard...

...that can house an Intel Core i5-2500K, an AMD Radeon HD 7950, and has a USB port inside the motherboard for me to place a wireless Xbox 360 controller adapter so that it's out of sight. I literally do not have any idea when it comes to motherboards but am hoping to spend less than 90£ on one. Is that possible with what I am looking for? Are there any definite buys right now? Thank you in advance!

Can't you stick the USB on the rear of the computer along with all the other gubbins coming out of it (like power cord etc.)? It'll still be out of sight that way. If so, then there's a huge range available to you.

I've not seen any motherboards with an internal USB socket, although I have seen one on a PCI USB card. The main problem with fitting a wireless adapter inside what amounts to a metal box, is that you will basically eliminate the RF signal...think Faraday cage effect. Wireless adapters (or at least, their aerials), are mounted externally for a reason!

Re: I am looking for a motherboard...

Thanks, guys! Got confused for a second as I thought my Xbox 360 has an internal wireless adapter and the case is made of metal, but I was wrong apparently! Cut the point of me wanting a motherboard with an internal USB port, please. Would a Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H or MSI Z77A-G45 do?

Re: I am looking for a motherboard...

So I am down to MSI Z77A-G45 motherboard and the Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H motherboard but apart from one doing both SLI and CrossFire and the other having 2 more USB 3.0 ports, are there any other major differences I should consider?

If you still need an internal usb header, get one of these:

simply unscrew the usb port from the backplate and run it to wherever you want.

Check your old motherboard components, you may have some spare already.
