    FM2 Motherboard help

    Hi

I'm look for a motherboard that will fit the new Richland CPU's

I'm building it for my mum because she needs a new computer, she doesn't do anything to intensive on it she mostly browses the web and sometimes edits some photos. I want to be able to overclock it a little because I want to get some experience overclocking, but not too much because I want to stay on the stock cooler.

    Thanks

Ones I know for sure are the MSI ones which recently got support in a BIOS update.

    Re: FM2 Motherboard help

Is the new Richland really worth the extra cost? The performance difference aprox. 7% between Trinity and Richland does not justify 27% price difference, specially not for a office PC (from my point of view). The cooler running and power savings are up to you, but for office use, hmm. Save the money and invest in faster memory.

Whatever you do, don't cheap out Go for a nice A75 MoBo (or a verified A55, like some Asus ones). A ASRock FM2A75M-DGS PLUS a A8-5600K with stock cooler works like a dream in my friends desktop (4.2Ghz OC at default, stock cooler 1100-1300 rpm, CPU 40-44 degrees).
