Asus rog maximus viii hero tpm

I have an asus rog maximus viii hero with latest bios version.

I have checked bios for ptt/tpm but there is no option for it.

However, there is a 14-1 pin tpm header on the motherboard.

If I was to buy an asus tpm board to plug into it would it work?

what does the manual say? (see page 39) https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/m...ERO_UM_WEB.pdf

TPM connector (14-1 pin TPM)This connector supports a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) system, which securely store keys, digital certificates, passwords and data. A TPM system also helps enhance the network security, protects digital identities, and ensures platform integrity

Doesn't say what version of TPM it is, however if you're thinking Windows 11 / TPM (2.0) possibly not going to work.
