Finally got round to watching the video, Asus would normally have been a contender on my build list, and while every company makes mistakes, its how you handle those mistakes and the fallout that says a lot...

Oddly after a bad Gigabyte 1080Ti and the way they handled the PSU issues they had a year or two ago, it helped swing me very easily to ASUS for my home server board, including my experience of a previous boards longevity (13 years in my hands, sold as working), and general reliability I've had of ASUS parts over the years.

Going X299 well after it's gaming run, I only had the choice of Gigabyte or ASUS. Just have to hope I get even half of what I got with my original ASUS board, I obviously can't expect anything out of a Warranty.

Well I have an Asus B550 Rog Strix that has an audio fault. Asus after messing around with their tech support just says sorry we don't exchange anything, contact the vendor. Cheers Asus! Thankfully that vendor was Amazon! New motherboard coming tomorrow!

My 1080Ti above from Gigabyte smoked itself. Thankfully I'd also bought from Amazon, and it was a swift turn around. Because it was only 2 months after, I decided not to bother with Gigabyte.

Prior to it burning, I was experiencing weird problems & crashing. During my diagnosing I swapped it, ironically into my ASUS board, and that's when it smoked.
Thank goodness no socket damage on the board and it was solely a GPU failure!
