The way hip hop & rap should be

You know when you hear a song and it totally blows you away, well i heard Aesop Rock - None Shall Pass last night. It's an absolutely stunning track, well in my opinion anyway. I just wish tracks like this would be played in preference to the mainstream trash that the likes of 50 Cent, and most recently Soulja Boy, seem to want to offend my ears with!

Good tune, but it's all relative. It almost certain that Aesop will get bigger and bigger, and maybe even hit mainstream, but after a while everyone will find that 'fresh' new sound sounding old and tired, and along will come something new so everyone else can bitch about how new talent isn't being recognised by the establishment....

    ...such is life...

The comments underneath are worth a read....pretty funny....

Yeah, there'll always be the new sound coming through which is why i love music so much, discovering a new song that you love is a great feeling. I'm not so sure Aesop Rock will every become mainstream to the same extent as some hip hop artists because he's already been around for a fair few years without much mainstream success.
