Lucy.
Interesting film. Enjoyed it. I think I would have preferred it to go more down the route of sci-fi action than the philosophical meanderings later on, mainly because the path it took was rather jumbled and didn't hold together so well. Still, an entertaining way to spend 1.5 hours and will likely provide conversation material, which, I suspect, is the whole point.

But guess if your job is to kill as many insurgents as you can, thinking of your enemy in such terms is probably inevitable.

I was left disappointed overall. The ending seems a bit of an anti-climax. Film started off well and intriguing. For me it will be one of those films where I will watch once and then forget about.

Blackfish
Thought it was well worth the watch. Scary what the Sea Zoo places get away with. Would definitely never go to one now.
Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?
Gone Girl, would highly recommend it. Really makes you think and question what you are seeing.
Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?
I finally got round to watching Kick Ass at the weekend, really enjoyable, especially the daughter's potty mouth. 8.5/10
Also watched Silver Linings Playbook. A completely different film altogether, also very enjoyable in a different way. Jennifer Lawrence is fast becoming my favourite actress... 9/10
Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?
The Lookalike 8/10 - Surprised me given the cast. Well acted, well directed, good romp.
Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

The last film I watched at home was Snowpiercer - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1706620/
Top film this was. One great thing about it was no forced love crap. Just get the job done.
The last film I watched in the cinema was The Hobbit part 3.
Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?
Watched Lucy the other week, disappointed overall, I like Luc Besson's work in general, the fast paced action sequences and strong female characters. The concept and idea were good, but once she got to 30% it just started getting too daft for me (my wife bailed at about 30 mins in). 8/10 for the 1st half -5/10 for the last half.
Last night watched Blue Ruin - not bad - great acting, small cast, low budget revenge movie - think Dead Mans Shoes, but the anti-hero has no skills, and is totally winging it - 7/10
Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?
Watched "The Heat" last week in search for a good comedy...was ok but still looking...I miss a good comedy which would make me laugh in tears
Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?
Dead Man Down - 6/10 - the chemistry just wasn't there between Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace
Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?
Wolves - Worst werewolf film I've ever watched - 2/10
Dumb and Dumber To - Very funny, true to the original - 8/10
Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?
Dallas Buyers' Club - very good performance from McConnaughey, 9/10
Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?
Jupiter Ascending - ignore the critics. It's the perfect action film. Loved every minute.
