Looking for some decent (and recent) anime! Any suggestions? :)

I haven't watched a good anime in a long time! Mainly due to exams, but also because I feel like the quality of anime has decreased massively recently, which is sad because my fondest memories involve me crying at Clannad Afterstory, Code Geass and Puella.

I'm not really into kiddy stories, so I shy away from shounen, but I do love action/gore/psychological/romance/adult themes in general.

Man, Clannad and Code Geass are really up there in terms of quality! Genuinly iconic anime TBH.

Some people (myself included) really enjoyed Steins;Gate. It was released in 2011 so not super modern but a bit newer than the ones you've listed.

A bit newer and getting rave reviews is Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu (Parasyte -the maxim-), I've not seen this one myself though.

I'll edit it this later with more suggestions when I can think of some!

Aren't they? Clannad was my first ever anime, and boy what an experience that was.

Also how could I forget Steins;Gate! I have Mayuri's legendary saying, "Tuturu~" on an app for my amusement
