Eclipse ADSL send BT Openworld Emails?

Hi,

At work i've just setup Eclipse ADSL, but we are still currently using BT Internet for email. Now, with the Broadband we can download the messages no problem, but cannot send them, we get an error (address not verified or similar). The only way we can send emails is to connect the ISDN and sent them through that. So basically...

Is there a way to send emails through Outlook Express with BT Internet when using a different ISP?

I think you need to change the outgoing server to Eclipse's even though you are still using BT's mail. Probably something like smtp.eclipse.net?

You need to change the SMTP settings in OE to match Eclipse SMTP

POP3 will remain as mail.btopenworld.com (collecting)

but you would need to change the outgoing (SMTP) server address..

Thanks - I had never even thought of that!

But... on one of the Laptops, its used for both the Eclipse Broadband to send emails, and also they use a BT Openworld dial up account at home to send mail... could an alternative outgoing mail address be setup? Or something different?

OE allows you to specify an outgoing (SMTP) mailhost for each account
