I'm sick of holding a phone

I want to get a phone for my house - since I spend most of my time on the phone when working.

    I don't want a bluetooth option - I would like a DECT option.

I would ideally like VoIP support.

Currently I have a BT Freestyle 2100 - so it *can* work with this if this supports it?

I was thinking of something like this:

    http://www.plantronics.com/australia...USFFAKAEZWQIV0

    Or a USB one? http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=144025

I believe the DECT one which isn't USB needs a VoIP phone to plug in to.

    Or - http://www.plantronics.com/north_ame...4/prod5510016?

Someone recommended a Cisco IP Phone -

But then the Linksys is supposed to be good - http://www.voipsupply.com/product_in...oducts_id=1057

in theory, DECT devices should seamlessly interoperate (*cough*), so any DECT device such as the plantronics you link should work with your existing BT base station by simple configuration.

Dave , those are nice , but if you want to seriously pimp your phone , you need the add on unit that remotely picks it up

Plantronics certainly used to do a bundle of the CS60+HL10 which is very, very usable (I actually use one at work, with an Avaya handset).

I don't think the Cisco phone will do what you want; they're not a SIP/Skype type solution, they're designed to work with Cisco's telephony systems.

    Isn't Linksys owned by Cisco?
