    Binned AOL...Went Sky...and.....!

    Its fantastic.
    At 9pm during the week on AOL i was getting 512mb (supposed to be 8mb and was 6.5mb before Car Phone Warehouse took over).

    At 9pm tonight i was hitting 13.9mb with Sky.

    AOL = £24.99p/m
    SKY = £10p/m

    When AOL say they arent 'group throttling' connections they are lying through their teeth and should be strung up for it.

    The only thing that needs throttling are the Technical support that are prepared to lie and scam people that are paying good money for a rubbish service.

    I have just spoken to AOL again and they have 'let me off' any outstanding charges.
    Not that there was any anyway as far as im concerened. They seemed to think there was 6 months left on my contract even though i had Platinum for just over 2 years.

    If you are on Platinum, and check your d/l speed after 6pm, i will be astonished if almost everyone is getting anything quicker than 0.7mb.

    Check it out

    Hi Blitzen, I think that you have 'scored there' . I could see 'sky' throwing money at their service to capture the 'customer base' .

    I agree....they are doing very well at taking a big UK market share.
    If they are doing it for that price (or free in some cases) then they deserve it.
